Winterfest of Lights in Ocean City MarylandEvery year the Winterfest of Lights festival is highly anticipated in Ocean City Maryland. This year marks the 30 anniversary of the Winterfest of Lights festival. The festival is already well underway it started on November 17 and will continue through December 31.

The 2022 Winterfest of Lights is returning with an even larger walking path through thousands of sparkling holiday lights and a large number of animated light displays all along a paved path in Northside Park. 

Winterfest of Lights Details

The outside walking tour through all of the amazing lights is at Northside Park located at 201 25th St. in Ocean City Maryland. The operating hours of the festival are Wednesday through Sunday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Tickets cost six dollars per person age 12 and older. Children 11 and younger are free.

It is important to note that the festival is subject to closure if the weather is working against safe conditions. Make sure to check the town of Ocean City Facebook page to ensure that the festival is open for the day and time you plan to go. Wednesday evenings are pet-friendly nights so bring out your lovable and cuddly furry family members on a leash of course.

New feature to this year's Winterfest

A brand new element to do at this year's festival is the holiday train garden display. The display will be located at the Roland E Powell Convention Center in the welcome center. Admission to the train display is free but donations are very much appreciated. All donations will benefit the Ocean City Beach Patrol.

Holiday Shoppers Fair

If you're out and about in Ocean City for Thanksgiving weekend the holiday shoppers fair is taking place, from November 25th through 27th.

Stop by this unique opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done with handmade products, photography, flowers, household items, and much more. There will also be children's activities and face painting to keep your little ones entertained while you shop. The market will take place in the convention center.
