What's Happening for Thanksgiving in Ocean City?

Thanksgiving Dinner Out
There are several great restaurants in and around Ocean City that serve up great Thanksgiving dinners. It is always a good idea to call ahead to see if a reservation can or needs to be made to ensure you have a table. One of the most favored places to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner you do not have to cook whether you are on vacation or just don’t want the hustle and stress is the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel- Oceanfront. The hotel has an amazing dining room right on the beach and is serving up a delicious Thanksgiving buffet on November 25th. It is recommended to call ahead and make reservations.
Special Events Happening in the Area
Winterfest of Lights
This event begins on November 18th and goes through the entire holiday season, ending on January 2nd. The event happens every Wednesday through Sunday from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. The amazing and beautiful light display is a half-mile loop with thousands of lights along an easy-to-walk paved pathway in Northside Park.
The fair will take place the three days following Thanksgiving starting with Black Friday. Fair hours are from 10 am to 5 pm each day. This unique holiday fair will host over 150 local vendors with items you will not be able to find anywhere else. It is always fun to find that perfect and unique something for someone on your holiday shopping list. Find handmade products including candles, nautical-themed items, photography, floral, jewelry, ceramics, clothing, and more. In addition to the most amazing and unique shopping experience in the area, you can enjoy the food court, non-shoppers lounge, door prizes, face painting, and children’s activities. Admission is just $3 for the entire weekend for anyone age 13 and over, kids are free. The fair is located at 4001 Coastal Highway at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center.
A fun event in the nearby town of Berlin, this annual event is an impressive display of amazing ice sculptures created by local artist Eric Cantine. In addition to the ice sculptures, there will be community tree lighting in front of the Atlantic Hotel at 6 pm. Area shops in town will be open later for special holiday shopping. Santa will be available to hear your little one’s Christmas wishes at Kringle Kottage from 5-8 pm. There will also be free art crafts available for kids to make in the welcome center parking lot. Anyone making a purchase from a local Berlin business can pick up complimentary gift bags with tissue to wrap their gifts.
